LIDL Distribution Center – Atlanta
This ground-up, 700,000 square foot distribution center was the first of several projects QC completed in the Atlanta market beginning in 2023. The facility includes approximately 300,000 square feet of refrigerated and frozen storage dedicated to perishable goods, while the remaining 400,000 square feet serves as conventional warehouse space for general merchandise.
The 65-foot-high cold storage areas were originally designed with galvanized roof decking and structural steel that would not require painting. When the deck and steel were delivered without the galvanized finish, The Korte Company turned to QC for the solution—applying dryfall coatings to the corrugated roof deck and all exposed structural steel throughout the cold storage areas.
The photographs shown here provide a glimpse of the sheer scale of work required to complete one of today’s modern distribution facilities.
