USPS Distribution Center – Atlanta

DB+

Completed in 2025 for the Korte Company, this 550,000 square foot renovation completely transformed the USPS Processing and Distribution Center located just outside Atlanta-Hartsfield International Airport. The facility had not been painted since it was originally constructed in the 1970s. QC repainted nearly every previously painted surface, including the 500,000 square foot exposed ceiling, structural steel, catwalks, perimeter concrete walls, offices, and new floor striping.

The greatest challenge was completing the work while the facility remained fully operational. Mail processing could not be interrupted, so QC constructed large containment areas using floor-to-ceiling plastic barriers and temporary ventilation systems to control dust and odor while work progressed around active USPS operations.

The project lasted approximately one year and ultimately exceeded $2 million in contract value. The photographs shown here capture the scale, logistics, and workmanship required to successfully repaint one of the Southeast’s largest active mail processing facilities.
